introduction
Hello... My name is not Bazz and I'm not a horse. I was however, the fortunate fellow that owned Bazz between November 2006 and September 2008, most of you that ever visited this site during this time would know me as Bazz's Dad. This site is dedicated in some ways to the big doof Bazz and provides me with a forum to ramble on about something I know nothing about, namely horses |
WHAT A STRAPPING FELLOW I AM
Well it was there so I might as well leave it there :)
Bazz was my first ever horse, how I ended up ever sitting on him and riding him out into the Australian bush is still a mystery to me. Originally I come from Portsmouth, England. The home of the Royal Navy. My Brother, My Father and Myself all served in the Navy as did my Grandfather and his Grandfather. Actually I think they were butchers in London and never even saw the sea but it sort of kills the story a bit if I don't include them.
My Brother and myself both served in the Falklands Campaign in 1982, I thought afterwards that it was a stupid way to earn a living and went into retail. My brother stayed in for another 20 odd years and has never ridden a horse.
In 1986 whilst working for an American Company, I moved to Australia for a 3 month project. 12 years on and I am still here. In 2006 I moved to a one horse town in Country Victoria and lived the life on an outback farmer, well that's maybe an over statement, but I did have a horse, a horse called Bazz and you all know the rest.
Welcome to my new site, hope you find it as entertaining as the original Bazz's website, my blog will be all about my experiences with horses, horsie folk and all things equine here in the land of the strange animals and nasty crawling things.
